The league is going to be crazy this year.

Well we do know that not that many leagues have made progress on getting their league back into action, but the MLB has gone into some hardcore planning to kick off the regular season. I've got the extra here so here is all the info I currently know about the season.
80 Game Season
Yes, the MLB is planning on cutting their season to less than half of what it usually is, and I don't blame them. They're planning on starting the season in the beginning of July so putting the season at 80 games should secure the postseason starting in October. Sadly, you might not get a match up that you were hoping for because of how short they're planning to cut the season, but this next thing might fix it.
Making Divisions by Region
Now I know you probably don't understand what this means, but let me explain. So if the MLB were to be putting teams in a division by region, it would be based off how close teams are to each other. So the Mets and Yanks wouldn't be in separate divisions. So say you're a Mets fan like me, your division this year would include the Mets, Yankees, Red Sox, Phillies, and Pirates. I know it's pretty crazy to think about, but it would make such a cool schedule.
Now I have one more piece of knowledge on what the MLB is planning on doing, and here it is.
DH's for every team in the league
I know it's crazy, but there is definitely good reasoning behind it. One of the reasons is what I said before, that the Mets and Yanks would be in the same division. Also, teams don't want their pitchers to get hurt especially with how small the season might be. So if pitchers were to not step up to the plate this year, it would save many teams from their pitchers getting injured. So I see where this is coming from, but it definitely takes away from the fun a little bit.
So based off of all this knowledge, I think we are going to be in for one fun season. Don't worry though, this format will only last for this one season, then everything will go back to normal next season. So I honestly can't wait till this season is underway. Also, I will try to upload a new blog as fast as I can, it's just hard to find material to make a blog with the current state the sports world is in. So that's all I got for now, and when I get more knowledge on other leagues or the MLB again I will fill you in as quick as I can.
