Where do I think teams will land and what players will shine?

The premier league this year is going to be jam packed, I can guarantee you that. It is now full of new star-studded players from Cristiano Ronaldo to Romelu Lukaku to Jadon Sancho. With all these new players in the league and some players just switching teams in the league this is going to most definitely shake up the league as a whole, and I have my own thoughts on this. I will be going over the league champion, teams that are going to the Champions League, going to the Europa League, the relegated teams, winner of the golden boot, winner of the best goalie, and who is going to be the best transferred player this year. Without further ado, here it is!

Premier League Winners: Chelsea FC

I feel like coming off your second champions league title and then getting one of the best strikers on the market this transfer window in Romelu Lukaku is great. Also, they got Saul Niguez on loan and only lost about ten million pounds because of how many players they sold to make sure they have more money for January. Also let me remind you that this team did not lose a single player from their champions league winning squad, so I would have to say that there is a really good chance they end the season at the top of the table.

Champions League Qualifiers: Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Leicester City.

We already talked about Chelsea so lets move onto Manchester United. We start with Cristiano Ronaldo, banging 4 goals in his first 3 games, he is going to prove to be a vital piece to this team that just missed out on the title last year. They also have Jadon Sancho who they were finally able to get from Dortmund after months of back and forth offers. This team is full of young players and having Ronaldo is going to be a key piece to this team as they now have a veteran up front that they have needed for ages. Now onto Leicester City, who just barely missed out on Champions League action last season as they lost their last game of the season to give leeway to Chelsea and Liverpool to make it to the Champions League. This team will be out for vengeance and I actually expect them to win the Europa League this year as I think they have what it takes to take home that trophy. This team hasn't changed at all and I think that keeping that strong chemistry from last year will be key to this teams success. Lastly Liverpool, and after clawing their way into the Champions league this season I think they will glide into the top 4. They no longer are struck with many injuries, and their team seems to be in tip top shape. Jurgen Klopp is a top class manager and I think with the addition of Konate in the back this team will be in a good mood at the end of June.

Europa League Qualifiers: Tottenham and Manchester City

I think these decisions are pretty clear. First lets go at Tottenham. For Tottenham this is just an average place to finish as they are most of the time in the Europa League spots in these past few years. Now while I do think Emerson Royal will be amazing for Spurs I just don't think that the rest of the team will be enough to get this team to the Champions League. Besides Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son there isn't another solid player that is consistently showing a good match every time they step foot on the pitch. Now I have a good amount of things to say about Manchester City. First thing is Jack Grealish, the waste of 100 million pounds. Ever since he joined Man City, he has been absolutely garbage. He was a one season wonder and seems to have been the biggest let down of the entire summer transfer window. Another thing about this team is that they drew against Southampton, SOUTHAMPTON! To add to that they only had a singular shot on goal in this game, which just goes to show that money can't buy you a good team, and this is the year everything goes wrong for Pep.

Relegated Teams: Norwich City, Burnley, and Wolverhampton

Now I know you all want me to say "oh Arsenal are going to be relegated," but to that I say no. Now although they have had a terrible start they will probably finish middle of the table. Now, onto the topic of relegated teams, and I feel like two out of these three choices are clear. Norwich City have the most relegations in Premier League history, and it is not surprise that they hold that record. Norwich aren't known to ever have a good team, and with Emiliano Buendia now at Aston Villa, I don't think you can trust Teemu Puuki to carry the entire team. For Burnley I just don't think they have the team to stay up in the Prem this year. Now I know not much has changed this year but with Nick Pope being your only great player for the past couple of years, you have got to expect things to fall apart on you at one point. Now with Wolverhampton I think that some people won't agree with this prediction but with the loss of their amazing manager and their starting keeper, I think that they are just going to fall apart. I think what Nuno built at Wolverhampton was amazing but without him I do not think that this team will get very far in the Prem.

Winner of the Golden Boot: Romelu Lukaku

The race for the Golden Boot will definitely be between Lukaku and Ronaldo but I think it is going to Lukaku honestly. I mean coming off a great season with Inter Milan winning the Serie A last season, I think he will come in and tear up the Premier League. As I am writing this sentence Lukaku has three goals in five games, which is tied for the third most goals in the league right now, pretty good if you ask me for the moment. He came in second last year to Ronaldo in the Serie A so coming up against him again for the golden boot, I think he will be out to win it this time with his new squad.

Winner of the Golden Glove: Edouard Mendy

I feel like there is no explaining needed for why I am picking this. I mean after being probably the best Premier League transfer last season Mendy has proven to be one of the tops keepers in the game at the moment. I mean Chelsea only have two non-clean sheets in their first five games! Sadly he didn't win the Golden Glove this year, but this time around I expect him to grab that Golden Glove at the end of the season.

Best transfer at the end of the season: Cristiano Ronaldo

I feel like a lot of people will say, "oh Max this is such a common choice." So what if it's a common choice? It is definitely one that makes sense because Ronaldo coming back to Old Trafford, what is there that doesn't make you think this? Ronaldo is coming off a good season at Juve, winning the Capocannoniere for having the most goals, but sadly falling short to Inter Milan when it comes to winning the Serie A as a whole. This is one of the GOATS of soccer and there is no way you can't pick him! That's all I have to say so I hope you enjoyed this article and I will see you in the next one!
